I just really like the looks of these on the broncos, so I made my own.
The ones above are slightly different from the latest design. Unfortunately the picatinny rail idea was too difficult to print.

    PXL_20221203_195246580.jpg
Please Ignore the poor print quality, 3d printer and filament issues both.

    PXL_20221203_195751040.jpg
Next set. Sadly blue was the only premium filament I had on hand so these will need to be painted. In the future I expect to use carbon fiber filament.

Would anyone else be interested in a set? I could possibly do a few different colors (black, red, blue, green, glow-in-the-dark?)

To be clear, these are in no way functional, they are for looks only. (they also don't add 7hp)

Hey if you like it cool, but to me it looks like you set something on the hood of your truck while you were working on an unrelated job in the garage.
Or just plopped something gun related up there trying to look tacti-kewl.

Is it supposed to look like a hood handle or what? I'm confused.

I could be wrong, but I believe a cable ties to that then goes to the front of the roof to help clear branches while on the trails.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Somebody just bought hisself a 3D printer and is now trying to figure out how to use it.
Don't have any idea what practical purpose it's supposed to mimic.
If you think it looks kewl, good for you.
    I don't.

Wow, that is a really shitty response. You don't have to like it but to go out of your way to demean others just to say so is certainly the bottom rung of society. If this is the victory over others that you need in life that is pretty bad.

Cool idea and I think you did the best that could be done. I'm not sure if the lines of the Tacoma support the concept.

The hard part isn't the printer, it's the cad for it, well maybe both. A lot of great cad tools but none are simple to pick up. Still 3d printing an enjoyable tool to have. I have a few thousand hours on this machine and actually had to take it apart today for repairs as some items had begun to wear out. Still, this particular printer is very inexpensive and works well with some tuning. If you watch for a sale this printer can be had for less than $200, sometimes as little as $100.

I have a variety of random parts printed for the truck like behind grill driving light mounts, t-nuts for the bed rails, phone and tablet mounts, and a few other odds and ends. When you see a need you just make it

So you put a scope on it and aim your truck to go down the road? Is it used with a red dot type optic with 1/1 power or can you use something like 4-24 power to see stuff way down the road?

Certainly looks better on the bronco. Crappy lighting and angles in the garage don't help matters either.

I usually dislike pure cosmetic items but liked the bronco versions enough I figured I would see what I could do. Still need to refine the design some but generally im happy with them
