I think you’re right about the future of infotainment.

I can’t imagine what the prices of the new ones will be. I paid 34k for my Or I’d imagine a new 2020 would be low 40’s. If I were to trade my Tacoma I’d be looking at a a solid 10k swing. No thanks

Headrests with adjustable pad angle would absolutely blow my mind.

Yep,pretty much this. I've tried twice to trade in my truck to get a Taco. I still owed way more than they would give me for it,which meant a ton of rollover. So I'm keeping it for another year, saving for a bigger down payment, all the while getting rid of other debt and getting my score up

@Gsxgrl21 , you ARE doing the right thing and holding off until you are at least not upside down on the trade. I've seen coworkers really get themselves into financial hot water by being impatient and they end up owing far more than the vehicle was ever worth.

This will never happen, the reason they're angled the way they are is for whiplash prevention.

Understood, but their angle is rather severe compared to other brands/vehicles.

Yeah if the 2020 head unit can plug-and-play with my 2018 that sure would be nice.

Haven't looked into it too much but it seems like there's too much integrated crap to consider going with an aftermarket stereo, I'd want to stick with a factory unit.

Can't remember if it is this one or one of the other 2020 threads, but someone claiming to have worked for the Toyotas on the 2020s said that the new radio should be plug and play when used along with an additional harness. It will probably cost in the $1000s by the time you are all said and done, but if you want the OEM look it will be the way to go.

    So. Many. Stickers.
Why all of the hitching about entune? It Bluetooth perfectly with both my iPod and Google pixel, also the USB feature works fine. And the built in nav (sport and up) is actually quite good, beats the snot out the nav offered by Honda and Mini

2018 Sport, no diff howl, 36 cupholders (would be 37, but I lost one for the manual gearshift placement) and they LOCKED THE PASSENGER FLOOR MAT TO THE FLOOR finally!

TSS is take or leave it, personally I'd rather not have all of that crap, it's just more stuff to break.

I used carplay for the last 3 years on my VW, bought a tacoma 3 weeks ago and been using entune. It isnt bad, if you're trading a gen3 just for a new one to get carplay you're gonna be very disappointed.
