Maybe they can just run a line along side of that new snorkel so the passenger can just fill it up on the go.

Don’t know about your taco but mine doesn’t have a printer to print money. That would be a nice feature to have that fucking Toyota left out....

That's because you went cheap and didn't get the ATM option in your Tacoma. Next time get the Tacoma 4x4 SR5-ATM

No Gator you did it right, you never test drive or ask questions before hand. Listen to me always buy something first... then you can bitch about what it doesn't have or you dislikes after and post it on line... Life lesson for free my Taco brother.

    Best test.

You're a DIY guy. Next change, refill 1qt short.

    No light?

    Next change, refill 2qts short.

    No light?

Repeat till you get a light. Report back what level that isn't.

    You're welcome. :hattip:

So we have evolved to the point where we expect a sensor to replace standard operating procedures like circle checks (vehicle walk around). So the TPMS has replaced checking for proper pressure (and tire damage). Washer fluid lights have reduced the need to open the hood where we might notice corrosion on the battery terminals, leaking rads, missing oil fill caps, low brake reservoir levels and a multitude of other visual inspections.

Maybe we need to stop automating the simple shit. Last night I came upon a woman who had nothing but daytime running lights on the highway. No taillights, barely any driving light and no clue. If a decent snowfall or fog had happened she would have become invisible from the rear.

People get in and punch it. No walk around. No check to see if their bulbs are burnt out or any other visual issues. In our quest to make stuff easier to check we have made things worse by our reliance for a bulb to light up and tell us. My Tacoma is my first vehicle with automatic lights. I still check to see if the indicator lights come on when expect them to. I do a walk around every day or two just to see if everything is good. I check my TPMS screen as soon as I hit the bend on my way to work and if I am going into town I check again once tires are hot to check the rise. I may not do it each and every time but at least every few days at worst. The one I am negligent on is checking oil levels. Since I do dealer oil changes every 8000km / 5000mi due to my short trips to work and winter cold start ups I tend to miss this one. I figure once out if warrantee I will be doing more of my own maintenance and therefore will monitor this better. This is still no excuse for my lack of diligence on this important check.

We need to be more diligent on our checks. We aren’t. There is really no excuse for it with all the helper lights we have to indicate issues. We just need to stop using them in place of regular checks.

The quicker way is to drain about 3 quarts. Drive a day then drain 1 quart and so on till light comes on.

2020 Tacomas will have a smell sensor in the seats,to let you know that you are ready to take a dump, popular surveys says that's what drivers want and demand.

I thought the GM twins and the Ridgeline were supposed to give the Tacoma run for its money??

Jeeps are the vehicle everyone wants to own until they own one.

Ranger will probably give the F150 a run for its money.
