Honestly, that's the way to go.

Your fenders you can paint black and they'll look brand new.

Get that and be done with it. I'm telling you, for the LineX brand that is a reasonable price, it comes with a lifetime warranty, and it will look great on your truck. Personally I don't care for hand roll on liners, and I wouldn't touch them unless I was putting it on a farm truck, but not on my personal truck.

yep having done a bed in linex and rapter liner, linex is 100x better. its well worth the price. you get a super thick coating where as the DIY ones its rather then. you could do it super thick but it would end up costing you almost the same price lol

Yea, here in Texas $450 or so is good for bed, have never heard of adding UV protectant. I was under impression it was added in already for free

I want to get this done some time down the road. I don't care for the crappy plastic liner in mine.

Just had my bed done about a month ago at the same cost. I was also thinking of doing the fenders eventually. They told me 100$ per fender.

I'm just going to get the bed done and find an alternate solution to the flares for now.

Now to somewhat hijack my own thread.... Has anybody used the spray in stuff in the cab under the carpet to use as a sound deadener? Reason I ask is because I've already got the passenger seat and center console out to do some deep cleaning and figured I'm already not that many steps from taking the carper out altogether. Thoughts?

What is the point of Line-Xing the bumper and flares? Style over substance in my opinion, save some dough.

    Edit: just read post above...

Yes, don't. If you haven't seen the underside of the carpet, the floor pan has a ton of gaps and open spots not to mention drain holes and crevices, and wires that you will have to fill in or do something with. I can't image it looking even halfway decent if you dont fill them in. If it was a farm truck or strickly for muddying, maybe.

Like YD said... if it's not going to be mostly a trail rig or farm truck I wouldn't take the carpet out all together.

You can do a DIY bedliner underneath the carpet if you're looking for extra protection and/or sound deadening, or if you are strictly going for sound deadening then you can lay down some mass loaded vinyl and lay the carpet over that.

Haha I should have clarified. I didn't mean take it out and leave it out. I meant spray something in and then put the carpet back over it :D

Just got some sliders that I'm going to have Line-X'ed, thinking about doing the bed too, has anyone had problems with it adhering to the plastic bed in a Tacoma?

Line-X will not adhere well to plastic. Even if it did it wouldn't last it's made to be applied to metal.

Talked to the Line-X dealer yesterday he told me he has done Tacoma composite beds before. He said the bed needs to be sanded down and primed first.
Don't matter right now anyway, can only afford to have my sliders done right now anyway.

Just would like to hear from someone who has done their bed.
