Just got a new 13' tacoma trd... need help

    trying to figure out what i would need first. the lift or the tires?
    if tires what would be ideal for mt tires.
    if a lift i am looking for a 3'' lift and do not know what would be best for off roading and street

    3"lift, Monster XD w/ 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers, Blacked out emblems, tinted front windows, BHLM
    lift then tires, When lifted you can get a bigger size tire.

    Lift first. Tires after. There is alot of info on here for a 3 inch lift. Try searching.

    Check out Toyteclifts.com. one of their kits with 5100s or the OME kit you can also get from them are good options. You can get tires first if you arent going any bigger than a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17.

    i was looking at the toytec ultimate lift kit i just do not know for sure all the parts needed for a lift.

    and tires ive read alot of good reviews from BF GOODRICH MUD-TERRAIN T/A KM2 TIRES

    Only other thing besides the kit would be some UCA's. I have the cheaper lift that they sell thats like 900 bucks or so and 265/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs.

    where would be an ideal place to take my truck to to get it lifted...
    should i take it to the toyota service center or somewhere else? Sorry probably dumb question but im new to this.

    I had mine done at 4wheelparts in san jose. They were knew what they were talking about when it came to tacomas. I have heard that at other 4wheelparts stores they dont know anything.

    so what exact parts do i need to just get the 3'' lift in front and back. i looked at this youtube video and it just shows him using Zone 2.5'' front spacer, 2'' rear block kit. is that all or would i need more?

    3 inch Toytec lift, Westin E series bull bar, HID/Halo retrofit, sway bar disconnect
    Sorry, dont mean to jump into the conversation. There are many different types of lifts. Some of the types being spacers in the front, blocks in the back. Or spacers in the front and extra leafs in the back. Even height adjustable coilovers, which is the more expensive option. I have the 3" toytec lift and cant say anything bad about it. I would go with the bilstein 5100 height adjustable coilovers for the front. I have the 1 1/2 blocks for the rear. Since the rear is going to be lifted, you would also need your rear shocks lengthened. Go with the Bilstein 5100's for the rear also.     You may or may not need new upper control arms for the front. I havent installed them and have minor vibrations from 10-20mph. I have gotten use to it and it really doesnt bother me. If the vibrations bother you, new uca's is the way to go.

    That would do it but that's the cheapest way to so it. I would personally never do a spacers and blocks lift.

    I have the lift the bigsmit posted a link to. No complaints. Can't go wrong with that or the OME kit.

    Ucas dont really fix vibrations, most people buy then with 3" lifts to corrrect alignment. Most commonly vibrations are caused by changing the angle of the driveshaft, this can ushually be fixed with axle shims or a carrier bearing drop. Some people also have issues with vibrations coming from the front differential after lifting

    The ULK is good. I'd get the slightly cheaper option posted above thats like 900 and put that 200 towards new UCA's which would be close to 400. The OME kit would save you mode money as well.

    Alot of people have the toytec ultimate lift kit, it is a very good choice. That and the old man emu lift are the most popular on the site. I believe it was mentioned that you may need afternarket upper control arms also if you lift over 2.5 inches. I would recomend SPC light racing UCAs they are adjustable for caster and camber, use a balljoint like the stock setup and are pretty cheap compared to uniball UCAs

    whats the UCA do?

    i just looked on amazon as well and it says the SPC light racing UCA would not fit my 2013 tacoma is that true?
