Ive been emailing several dealers around tx to see who would give me the best price. Toyota of Ft. Worth was the first to respond with my USAA pricing and actually priced it $1,000 less than usaa.
I emailed that to my local dealer and they said they would match it.

$25,957 for a dbl cab, prerunner, TRD offroad, towing package, DTRL. +TTL

does that sound like a good deal?

Sounds like a really good deal, I think roughly 2k less than mine dammit.

Thats a good deal in my area. I just got the same truck but with leather 2 months ago and paid 28,400 + TTL.

man the more i think about it I never even go offroading anymore. When I lived in idaho I would have put it to use. but now I live in north TX and have a wife and a baby...I dont need a 4x4...the locker would get me through anything I would get into. plus if it snows my wife has a 4x4 we can use.

and if I wanna play I can just take out my 4wheeler i just got.

    1. see above.
    2. they are decent trucks. ford has come a long way imo. they look good with a mild lift and decent tires. and a lot roomier inside.
Hey at least i didnt say cheby

I got my truck for 24k last year...its a 2009 model...but I also got the $1000 college grad discount. I'm like you, my last truck was a 4x4 and the times I used it I should not have been there anyway.....I have a new fourwheeler to go offroad. I also looked at getting a full size truck but the tacoma has all the room i need and will last a lot longer. A smaller, lighter truck is also easier on tires, bearings, etc..

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I got the exact same truck for $25,200 back on 12/1/09.

sadly, I've only put Husky Liners in it thus far - tend to blow all my cash on my bikes and guitars.
I saved over $2200 just buying a leftover -- could be a possibility to save more if you've not committed to buying yet......or do you have your heart set on a 2010?

Sounds like a pretty good deal. You would get decent mileage with the prerunner also. I have 3 kids and they fit fine in my double cab..plus 2 are in car seats and one is in a booster. In the end, get what you think you'll appreciate more..

    yea I wanna get a 2010, I dont care about the 2011...

we have one kid in a rear facing car seat now and thats all were having...so I dont have to worry about running out of room:D Ive been fine with my current prerunner so far, and I dont see that changing any time soon. I had got caught up in the "must have a 4x4" moment...but I know I dont need one.

I know that once I went 4x4 back in my teens, I've never looked back -- it's damn near a must have once you do it........too handy not to have if you're buying a truck, but that's just my opinion
