I just bought a set of 5 Michelin LTX M/S2 tires for my Tacoma in 265-70-17 after running Nitto Terra Grapplers and so far I am very happy with them. No road noise whatsoever, and a really smooth ride considering. Rating reviews say they will last over 70,000 miles.

These are 265/65/17, so not much size difference than 265/70/17.

How is the ride on the street compared to the Nitto's? 95% of my driving is on the street and the LTX series is at the top of the list for new tires, wife put almost 80,000 miles on the original LTX series tires on her Tahoe. She has the 2s on there now, but I really can't compare the ride between the two.

    Thanks

If you have a 2 wheel drive Tacoma, you have to run MS2's. They will give you the best ride for that vehicle.

I ordered a set of them in 245/75/16 and a set on Monroe Sensa-Trac quick struts and shocks. Hopefully they will all be done by months end, ready for a better ride.

I have thought that the original LTX M&S wore better than the newer M&S2
