Just picked up my 5-speed 2002 V6 Xtracab SR5 TRD off-road Tacoma in Maryville, TN today.

I made my last payment on my 05 EVO 8 MR yesterday. Since I have my fast car, I needed an off-road truck!

I spent a month or two reading about older Land Cruisers, 4-Runners, and Tacomas. I liked each one for different reasons but decided a Tacoma was what I wanted. Finding the right one was harder than I thought.

Just came across this forum tonight. Got a lot of reading to keep me busy.

I live just south of Ocala National Forest. With nearly 200 miles of ATV / motorcycle trails and another 81 miles of off-road trails for Jeeps and other 4WD vehicles, the Ocala National Forest is Florida's top destination for off-roading.

I had a full-race motorsports turbo kit installed soon after I got in 04. Full-race makes good turbo manifolds. I had it mildly tuned. Not the beasts that some have but plenty fast enough for me.

Since then I haven't done anything else. I'm going to get it re-tuned at Fastech Motorsports in Louisville, TN. If you own a Subaru that's a great place to go. The owner Mark is a WRX drag racer and does very good work. His daily driver is an 06 EVO MR so I know he'll do a good job on my EVO too.
