Was sitting at a red light behind two other cars and I heard a loud pop sound from behind me and looked my rearview mirror. All I saw were two headlights coming at me like a bat out of hell. I had time to say "Oh shit", grab the steering wheel and then she hit me.

Police estimated she was doing 40-50 mph, no skid marks, never hit the brakes. The pop sound I heard was her clipping a Toyota Tundra two lanes over to my right and then she swerved and hit me from behind, knocking me into the Toyota Tacoma in front of me, knocking him into a Toyota in front of him. The lady was driving a Toyota Corolla I think, but all 5 vehicle involved were Toyotas.

A guy working at Sonic across the street said he saw everything and that my truck went airborne for a second, all 4 wheels off the ground.

She was incoherent, couldn't walk straight, probably drunk or maybe dazed and shocked, not sure. Probably in her 50's. It was a flat road, dry conditions, stupid bitch is lucky she didn't kill anyone.

I'm really, really, REALLY hoping the truck is totaled, I don't want to be driving a brand new truck that's been heavily repaired :(

Anyone have any advice? I'm sore as hell, wrist is sprained, back is hurting, just sore all over. I'm going to my doctor today. She has insurance, and I heavily suspect she was drunk.

FYI, a diabetic emergency can mimick drunkiness. Let's not put the cart before the horse. Just get yourself to the doctor ASAP.

DAMN! Doctor and then get a hold of a lawyer while all the info is fresh in your mind. You may have to go after her to get everything straightened out.

    First, consult with an attorney.

If you're sore now, you very well may have some other injuries that could show up later.

I'm not an ambulance chaser, but this sounds like a situation where you may need to cover your ass.

And your truck sure looks like a total to me.

And if not, the attorney can help in that regard as well.

    Good luck with it all...
