Unfortunately the paint on my roof looked like someone took sand paper to it and my hood was starting to go so I went on yelp and found rising star collision in chino. The guy, Lee, told me he did a few taco roofs just like mine and he painted the roof, hood, and fenders (to blend it) and they turned out great, comes with a lifetime warranty. Had the truck in Monday and was out by Friday, highly recommend them. They text you pics as an added bonus during the entire process for your documentation

Thanks! I paid 1565 out the door. If I only were to do the roof he quoted me about 650. He said the hood was expensive because not only did he have the paint the fenders to blend it but the there are rubber seals he couldn't reuse and had to get new ones (on the fender flares if I recall)

Same issue on my 2103, roof and hood looked much worse. Once the clearcoat starts to go it goes fast. Had the exterior repainted complete, same color. Took 3 weeks and was done by a friend of a friend in Mexicali, I can't say it is 100% perfect, but you have to really look to find imperfections. I was told 3 coats of paint and 4 coats clearcoat with high quality material. I'm not an expert so I can't tell how many coats, hopefully it holds up. Was about $1300. The guy works at a professional shop and does work at his home on the side.

Did he touch your doors at all? If not, that's a really nice job matching the paint! Can't tell the difference from this picture.

Now just make sure you regularly wax all your painted surfaces so you never have to do this again... :)

That's actually a really good price considering a full paint job runs between $4500-$5500K these days. Make sure to take care of that paint moving forward. I do see you park outdoors and with the Socal heat, it can be brutal to the paint. Have you looked into getting a truck over?

That’s a good deal considering the paint will go before anything mechanical
