    damn $895?

I'm looking at a grand, and that's not even for the tire size I want, and only 4 of them (I'll need 5 for the spare)

Almost makes me want to slap some 15" wheels on, but then I wouldn't be able to do tundra brakes later...

Yeah it really wasn't that bad, just over 200 a tire. 15's are awesome for that, but I hear you on the tundra brake upgrade. It would be on my list to do but can't with 15's. Oh well

Wow the tires look great! I was just about to snag a set of mildly used 33x10.5x15s but the tundra brake upgrade and a great deal on 16"
    4runner 5 spokes came up.

    Nice looking tires !!!

When I was looking for tires 3 yrs ago I gave up trying to find the BFG KM2 Mud terrains !!! . Everywhere I looked they were out of stock and were on back order

I finally gave up and bought a set of Toyo Open Country Mud terrains and have been very happy with them . I rotate and balance every year and have maybe 12k miles on them and they're wearing very well

Haven’t even logged in here in a few years. But I hate that tire threads always get abandoned without a conclusion, so I figured I’d give my review now that I have finally worn out my KM3’s.

Overall I will say I was very happy with these tires, they have their cons like any mud tires, but good overall.
    Key points:
I got 42,600 miles out of them, only rotated them twice, and have driven THOUSANDS of miles of gravel roads on them, as well as light four wheeling. Street driving and better rotations and I’m sure you could get almost 50k out of them.
As far as traction, IMO they are awesome in almost all conditions, they suck in wet heavy snow, but all tires do, and they don’t steer great in any sort of snow (they liked to under steer) also, after about 50% tread they pretty much suck in the rain, but I’m sure getting them siped would have fixed that.
All in all my only real complaints would be rain performance after 50% tread, and they run small for size, my 33’s were about 31.5 new on a 8.5 inch wide wheel.
Also they start getting progressively louder after 50% tread, but what mud tires don’t? Here is a pic of them after they were removed from my truck.

I almost replaced them with another set of the same, but I wanted to try something new (and hopefully closer to actual size) so I got a set of cooper MTP’s from discount. 33x12.5-15’s

Were they really only 31.5” ?? They are advertised as 32.5

also to everyone not going to 15 because of tundra brakes, i have tundra brakes with 15” wheels -19 offset. Steelies will not fit though

It’s been over two years since I measured them new, but that’s what I remember. When they measure the height of a tire that’s just a dismounted tire, so once they are on a wheel with a vehicles weight on them they are gonna be smaller

They were weirdly quiet for the first half of the tread, and not bad after that, just a bit louder

Toytec 2 inch AAL rear and originally stock coils with 5100’s at the highest setting. A while back I switched to OME 883? Coils on the front and moved the 5100’s to the middle setting. They rubbed but trimming the pinch weld fixed it. It will depend on wheel offset though where they rub

my 315/70/17 KM3's measure a bit over 33.4 or 33.4 but should be 34.4 or the BFG 35 range. I was not too happy about that either. They have been good so far. With how my truck set up is something is causing it to wear more on the outside of the tire so some uneven wear. They are fairly quiet. Louder than K02's but that's expected. Have not tried snow, they are ok in rain, great off-road which is why I picked them up this go around. I would like to find a true 35 next time or at least 34.xxx range when mounted.
