Yeah, so I think I'm being fed a line so they dont have to deal with me...(kinda pissed). I've noticed a LOT of tacoma members here have put those nice FJ Cruiser TRD Anthracite Wheels on their 4x4 Tacomas. I went to call my dealer about ordering a set, and they said "Oh, no, those don't fit. They are too wide. Once you get the tires on, they rub the fenders and wheel wells." Is that true? Or is he feeding me some :crapstorm:
I was planning on getting the Michelin MS/2 265/75/16 and putting them on those FJ TRD wheels. According to the sales person that I was transferred to, those wheels are too wide for my truck. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks! It's much appriciated.

As far as I know they fit fine. I think you used to have to supply the VIN of an FJ to get them. Try looking on Eghey.

They are only 7.5" wide. Most aftermarket wheels are wider than that.

I haven't heard anyone complaining about them not fitting, and theres a LARGE number of tacoma owners with them on. I think I was just being fed a line. Lame.

And I totaly have that site bookmarked for those. I just wanted to see if I could get them from my dealer for like $125 a pop. I have no problem even spending the MSRP of 150 for each. I was just worried that maybe I was wrong, and they in fact do not work...but if someone can tell me they do, I will totaly be all over it. Thanks

sooooo...does that mean he was wrong? And I'd be fine running 265/75/16s on them?:D

Yeah, you're getting a line of shit me thinks. When you do get a set installed, drive by the dealership and show who ever it was that they will fit.

Call the parts department and tell them what you want. There is no need to tell them what they are going on. The anthracite wheels are not like the trail teams edition wheels.

They fit better for larger tires due to their backspacing compared to the stock Tacoma wheels.

Thats what I intended to do, as soon as I read off the part number, he said "what are you putting these on". I suppose I should have said his mom...probably would have gotten the same answer...

Yeah, they weren't helpful at all. I much prefer their service center over their parts center. Oh well, their loss. I ordered them from that site posted above. I'll let ya all know when they arrive and then I'll get sears to mount them and balance them and I'll take some pictures! Thanks everyone!

Haha me too! I dont know how long it will take them to ship them. Texas to PA, and they are pretty big, so I'm guessing no more than 2 weeks I hope. I'd be killer sweet if they came by the end of this week, but I wont hold my breath:p

Yeah, they fit. I have them with 265/75's I do have bilstiens at 1.75, but even at stock there should be plenty of room.

These wheels really make the truck stand out from the rest...I get alot of compliments.
