...was finally able to get the 3 inch lift kit done and new wheels and tires.... nothing over the top as it's just a mild street performance mod on a automatic 2x4. Still have some stuff to research and ask questions.

Ok, here is where I could use some help. The rear bumper needs to be replaced and so does the front bumper. There are a few areas that need some paint touch up... unfortunately due to vandalism :( Got X amount set aside for the bald spot on the roof and a couple of smaller areas. Don't get me wrong... I've been looking at aftermarket stuff as well to try and narrow things down. It's only a 4x2 and I do have some clue what I'd be ok with, but perhaps you guys have suggestions too? Didn't realize a 2012-2015 conversion was possible and that look is very acceptable to me as well.

Was thinking this for the front bumper, but it's a bit pricey for my budget.

Need a rear bumper as well. And I wanted to add some more functionality to the truck and ad a roof rack too. It's mainly street and highway use.... but when the season comes up I do enjoy mountain biking and going to the more less traveled larger woodland parks.

Good look. After wheels, tires, and lift, the sky is the limit, usually over time of course as those 3 things are $thousands new.

Yeah, prior to being vandalized, I set aside money for the modest lift....took me several years to get it done and have monies on hand for the project. Wanted to change out the Bakflip tri fold to the Bak Revolver and install a Rough Country Molle rack right below the rear window in the truck bed... but that's not gonna happen.. at least not now or in the near future.

    truck looks good.

I don’t see what’s wrong with the bumpers.

    here’s a recipe for you.
    -people crash into your shit
-they buy you a nice full hoops front bumper and rear high clearance with tree savers and maybe swingout
    -lead times vary
    -weight reduces MPG
-little money is gained back selling the old parts. My old front I got maybe $50 for.
    -HD springs needed for front
-cutting and trimming may be needed

it doesn’t always work out that way. It’s a lot more common for folks to smack into the back of a vehicle than the front.
Like when they drive behind you with their eyes closed, or park like bumper cars.

not fun when you want a steel front and nobody’s hitting you.

a few folks tried but my reaction kicked in, hit the brakes, honked, then they stopped halfway through completing their mission of flooring it out of a parking spot wearing a blindfold.

another option might be a cheap respray. Toyota paint isn’t sophisticated hard to match. Or doing something to the whole truck before the top fades.

even better if you have a dash cam automatically kicking on for when they decide to run off or something.

Yeah, I know... I purposely didn't show it so I wouldn't get annoyed all over again. Polite long story short, "family" member used the truck without permission and attracted the wrong kind of attention....on purpose, hence the kicked in look on the bumbers and a few other not so nice going away markings and adjustments at my expense.

Anyway... back to the topic at hand.... you mentioned HD springs for the front? My truck is a bit rough around the edges, scrappy, but always pulls through for me somehow when it's important... named the truck .... Stan. There's minor rub and bounce with the new set up, but... well.. you hit it right on the head. Is there a specific coil spring rate to look for?

I mean that may be a hit and run or vandalism

a kicked in look sounds a lot less obvious than words spray painted and potentially something a PDR specialist could pop out.

Theres also room to do a quick viper cut.
Or a cheap temporary bumper that doesn’t have as many features. Or DIY Coastal kit.

or buy and swap over one of those $50 normal condition bumpers found local

probably cheaper than dropping the truck off to simply take the bumper off, and drop it off somewhere for a respray tell them take your time. Not that I would put $300 into a $50 stock part.

Try applying light heat to the area then push out from behind by hand.Lightly sand the scratches down and apply touchup. Its only a plastic bumper cover.

What wheels are those? One of my TPMS sensors died so that means I need new wheels.

the scratches don’t look bad. The dent looks like it can be pushed out from behind.

or get a sensor new on Amazon for $20-30 and have Costco put it in and program it.

Or, I can get some new wheels... you sound like my wife.

I have a TPMS programmer and Techstream, and a shop that'll swap them, but really there's no sense in dismounting tires just to put them back on stock wheels, it's just poor taste. We recently did new wheels with new sensors and reprogram on the 4Runner, now it's the tacos turn.

totally up to you. The front bead just has to be broken and held down to change the sensor
