    Hey there,
So I bought the truck new and have done pretty much nothing else but change the oil religiously every 5000 miles with synthetic. Truck has a manual transmission and have had absolutely Zero issues with it since new. 4 wheel drive has been used maybe a handful of times in actual use..not just engaging to run it a bit. Other than my oil change coming up what other fluids should i tackle. Street driven and not pushed hard at all in the dirt or mud or anything. Very clean vehicle. Even my Nitto Trail Grapplers put on since day one have about another 10k on them.
    Thoughts?

Lubricate drive shaft, re torque U bolts

Do the diff fluids while you're at it

Flush and fill with new engine coolant

And maybe check that your battery is still optimal.

    Good to go.

All I know is I just received a 30k mile schedule service notice from my dealer. They would have to be out of their mind if they think I'm going to have all the stuff they recommend for what their prices are. I can do everything myself for a fraction of it....plus I got over 8k miles yet to even make 30k.

    Thanks guys!

I don't mind doing what the manual says. Though i think it may be extensive and is possibly recommended to add sales to the service dept. Not sure. Hence why I'm asking the enthusiasts. Either way your info was appreciated. Now I'll find me a local Toyota shop to perform the work.

No need to have Toyota to do services. Independent, or preform it yourself.

How do you know the service tech is named Manuel? I think you meant manual.

I'm at almost 240,000 miles and just change the oil every 10K. I changed the oil in the diff and transfer case at around 160,000 miles. It still has the factory coolant and hoses along with factory transmission fluid.

I'd INSPECT the brakes, serpentine belt and hoses. The belt is probably worn. Lots of people confuse INSPECT with REPLACE. I've inspected lots of parts, but they are still working and don't need to be replaced even after 16 years.

Your tires are 7 years old and need to be replaced regardless of tread life. Rubber deteriorates over time and anything that old could fail on you even with 90% remaining tread. I might keep the spare until it is 10 years old since it is out of the sun and rarely used. But once it gets to 10 years old replace it. You can usually find a decent used tire that is only 2-3 years old for $30ish.

I don't like to keep tires much over 40,000 miles anyway. I've gone 50,000 a few times. But once you get to the 1/2 way point on tread you're starting to see noticeably poorer performance on wet or snow covered roads and off road. A lot of that depends on timing. If the tread is borderline during spring or summer I may keep them until winter. But if it's close in October I buy new tires to get through winter.

You've been lucky imo with the gear oils. I've gotten close to a 100k miles on my gen1 tundra with the serpentine belt changing it along with the timing belt. All hoses, and coolant were never replaced in nearly 300k miles, 19 years later before buying a tacoma. That truck still runs great today.

You need to engage 4wd monthly for a few miles to keep parts lubricated.
You need to lube those zerks on the driveshaft asap if you have never done it. 2016's have them.
    I wouldn't do the coolant.
Definitely the rear diff. and why not front while your at it.

In addition to what others have said,
    1. Change PCV
    2. clean MAF
    3. Clean throttle body
    4. Change plugs
    5. Differentials fluid
    6. Transfer case fluid
    7. Transmission fluid, drain and refill
    8. Cabin and engine filters
    9. Radiator drain and refill
    10. Brake fluid
    11. Power steering fluid

DIY all this will cost you less than $600 and you have peace of mind that everything is taken care of. Pretty cheap actually to have everything done correctly and you will be good for some time.
If you’re in New England and would like some help I’d be happy to lend you a hand.
