Make sure you buy or price match to Amazon. Walmart even sells these and will price match Amazon.

The light is brighter than stock but not white at all. Completely Yellow.

The life on these has been less than 1 year for me (on my old car)and I don't drive that many miles. They are super simple to replace on the Tacoma but at least keep the stocks in your truck as a spare.

Do you know what bulb size for the low beams?

I don't mind the stock halogen bulbs. Color output does not matter to me. I just wanted a nice spread beam (which should be anyone's first concern with headlights)

Reading that the OPT7 is brighter than OEM bulbs was my rationale for buying them. I found them to be less bright (ahead) than the stock halogen for the reasons I mentioned above. I just don't want to spend $$ on something that doesn't work better than OEM for me.

    Obviously YMMV.

They are H11. Same as the foglights as well.

I agree. I live out on farm roads and lights are important. I usually get xenon bulbs and get a alcohol wipe or a qtip with a little alcohol and clean the bulbs before I install. The sylvania bulbs usually last me up for a year till one burns out. Good looking out on the bulbs. I don't want HID cause I don't want any kind of problem later.

Alot of mixed reviews on these things. I just got mine in yesterday. Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I install them!

The pattern you get from a LED or sometimes even HID, can vary from a halogen bulb. The white/blue color of these can hinder some people and help others. It is truly a matter of personal opinion and what works best for you. I personally can't see very well at night with any halogen, even the expensive ones, but with a whiter light I see much better.

I think everyone perceives color differently but for me it's definitely a cleaner look than stock halogens. As far as brightness goes, I think it's about the same if not brighter. If I need to see further in the distance, that's what the high beams are for. Here's a pic of my TRD offroad with the LEDs in low beam and fogs compared to a stock halogen TRD sport.

Are these better than the morimotos? HID & Led Fog kit?

I ordered these instead of the Low Beam HID's just for a cleaner install, but I think the Morimoto's Fogs will do better, as they have the correct reflector assembly for the LED bulbs. I plan on ordering a set in a week or so myself.

I would not say they are better. Just less of a hassle.

I just installed these in my low beams and fogs. They all work and the color is really nice. I'd say the light output is around the same as the stock halogens, like others have said. As far as the color goes, I've had 5000k and 6000k HIDs and to me these actually look close to 5000k. They do not look like there is any blue in them at all. If you want extremely bright lights get HIDs, but if you are satisfied with the light output of the stock halogens and just want a whiter light (which looks alot better imo) get these. 2 year warranty is sweet too.

Front window tint match and windshield strip. Rubber bed mat. Running boards. Console insert. Husky floor liners. Exterior LED conversion with Diode Dynamic and Opt7. Low profile window visors.
Thanks for the comparison pic! Very helpful. I'm thinking of getting the OPT7 for the low beam projector but want a color match option for fogs that won't be blinding to on-comers. What is the morimoto that I see referenced? Better for reflective housing as in the fog application? Was your comparison pic with 2 sets of OPT7 fluxbeam (2 low,2 fog) ??
    Thanks!!

I don't about the morimoto's except for that they were working some kinks out on the morimoto HID thread. I didn't see any issues with the opt7 LED route so I went with them. Both sets of opt7 fluxbeam LED kits.

It may be hard to tell because there's a steer light right above but here is the POV. First shot is fogs and DRL. Second is with lowbeams and fogs and DRL.
