Those look to be the same ones @whopper is using in his highs and I just installed a pair in mine. Im working a night shift tonight so I won't be able to test them. If its still dark enough when I'm off I'll try taking a few pictures and give a review.

I'm interested in the pattern too. Let us know how they compare to the halogens.

The stock halogen highs were pretty good. I used them on my way up the 15 N into Vegas last weekend. Threw light a long ways down the highway, not a lot of surrounding foliage to get a good judge of how wide the beam was. I might have a few places I could test around here to get a better idea of the beam on these LEDs in the highs.

Do we overall feel that the opt 7 is worth the purchase and better light output or individuals just changing the color cuz they don't like the orange color from the halogens ?

I feel the upgrade is worthwhile, I couldn't see very well with the stock lights. I felt both the distance, output and light color left a lot to be desired. HIDs would be a bit cheaper and possibly be a bit more light, but they have a much shorter life. HIDs are good for about 2k hours, then you have to replace the bulb and usually the ballast goes with it. If this last the 25k, you'll be ahead in cost after 4k hours.

So the first 3 photos here, I left my cell phone in auto and did not adjust any settings. I had them off, lows, then high beams:

The last 4 I locked the ISO in so it wouldnt dim down the photos when it detected more light. Lights off, lows, lows and fogs, high beams.

Yeah, I still have the stock fogs in. I was concerned that the LEDs would be too white and not cut through the fog or dust. Once I get to see how well the stock ones do in fog I'll make a decision if upgrading is worthwhile.

I've read that yellow light cuts through fog better.

I'm out on these lights. There is a lot of hype, but what you get is a bluish hue that doesn't project, or provide detail nearly as well as the stock halogens. Maybe a set of Sylvania Silver Stars for $30 will provide a whiter light.

I'm glad to have been able to try these but, I'm more glad they have a return policy.

Definitely. Also driving rain and white-out snow conditions.
I've been driving in white-outs before with only my yellow fogs on (albeit at 20mph).
The regular headlights just reflect the light off the snow and make visibility nil.

Thanks for the great comparison. Maybe go with a 3k HID for the fogs. I might go that route.

It does cut through better, the yellow light doesn't reflect back towards the eyes as much. Similar with high dust scenarios in the desert. That's why you'll see a lot of trophy trucks and prerunners with an amber light somewhere.
