For anyone interested here's a night pic of my Philips low beam HID kit 4300k and Philips 35w 6000k "xtreme vision ultinon" LED fog lights.

First pic low beams only, second pic low beams + fogs

Do you have one of just your fogs at night? Also, can you post link of where to buy these?

I edited to explain, I still stuck with LEDs in the fog lights since fog lights are mostly to fill in the side areas (better illustration in pics I just uploaded).

Low beams need to cut through more distance so I went HID. But even LED vs LED in the fogs theres a big quality difference in Philips vs OPT7, checkout the daytime pic to see what I mean by the blindingness of the OPT7s. I should swap the OPT7s back in to do a nighttime comparison but I promise you the Philips perform twice as good at night.

@Jaque8 if you can do the comparison with opt7 and Philips at night that would be awesome.

I'll take some tonight and upload. I bought mine through http://www.xenondepot.com

Not the cheapest but I've had nothing but good experiences with their kits and bulbs. You do have to select "upgrade" to get the genuine Philips bulbs which are like an extra $45 vs the generic bulbs but they're worth it.

Fog lights are light $130. More than twice what I paid for the OPT7s but again, worth it.

@Jaque8 nice thanks man that'd be great. I'll definitely look into them as well. And if you decide to sell your Opt7's let me know, my wife is wanting to get some.

Hey shit on my thread all you want! :D I merely gave these lights a test run when all we had was a choice between stock halogens and shaky HIDs. They fit nicely and I was happy with the outcome so I posted it. Some people aren't happy with how bright they are... I've never had HIDs to compare. I think they're fine and the color is much better and cleaner than stock.

With more money comes better products. In my opinion, this is a solid happy medium.

I'm all for improving night vision/ looks so if you have a better recommendation, post away.

Hey I was just reading about the Morimoto issues on the other thread. Yikes...

I purchased OPT7s, whew.. I am guessing we are not having the same reaction as the Morimoto's when the OPT7s get wet?

Do we need to do anything special with water proofing? I read through this thread but maube skimmed past any water proofing explanations.

Ordered on the 2nd. Delivered today! installed already. Longest time was tying up the cables. Looks great right now. Not dark yet so can't speak to the full effect. Will see on the way to work at the butt crack of dawn tomorrow.

Got my OPT7s today and installed the low beams. Tomorrow morning I will try them out. Definite improvement from the stock lights. We'll see how far they throw.
I will be installing the OPT7s fogs next. Which is the best approach? From above or from below? Not much space from above but I don't know how much I need to remove to get to them from below. Any advice?
I may end up with OPT7s in the fogs and high beams and look for HIDs for the low beams instead. What's the best HID system out there? Are the HIDs much better than the OPT7s for the low beams? Durability? Ease of installation?
Another option is OPT7s for low and high beams and Sylvania Ultras for the fogs, probably easier to install from above than the OPT7s.

    I need help in deciding.

Best way to get the fogs in are from the fender well. When I installed my fogs I had to turn the wheel to full lock right (when working on the driver side) and remove about 3 screws and bend the plastic out of the way to access the fogs. It was a tight squeeze to fit both hands so better off takin off the wheel if you have big hands.

My ORDC went in from the top, the hardest part was mounting the wiring .

Well, first drive this morning... Not 100% sure on these yet. They are bluer than I thought they would be. I think 5k would have been a better choice. I'm keeping the low beams in though, but the fog's may have to go. They are WAY too bright. Turning on the fog's with the low beams is like having your brights on. Crazy bright and definitely blinding to on coming traffic. Ill pop em in the high beams when I figure out what to replace them with.

R2D2- I went in from the top and was super easy.

I installed Opt7 LED in my lows and fogs, I used the same bulb as the headlight for the fog lights as they are much better. As far as getting to your fog lights, it's easier from above if you remove the grill. Just 2 screws and 2 plastic rivets and it pops out and it only takes about 5 minutes.

H11 OPT7s installed in Lows and OPT7 Fogs in Fogs. Loose connection at OEM connector, used electrical tape. In from the top for install fogs, no removal of anything just reached down and replaced, cake.
