Thinking about pulling the trigger on these guys. Any concerns about heat? Burning/Melting plastic? Do LEDs get hot enough to be a problem?

Thanks for all the pics. They look great!

I plan to order all 3 sets(2xH11 & 1x H9) at once and just want to make sure things are good to go before I drop the $300.

Got mine in and installed them tonight as well. Less than 15 minutes...and they look great! Haven't gotten to take them out on the road yet, but very impressed with them in the driveway.

I've had mine in for a year and no problems whatsoever. Never gets hot.

Halogen bulbs produce more heat than LEDs. The difference is the halogens can take the heat where the LEDs are more sensitive and require a built in fan or heat sink.

Makes sense now. I saw that a fan was required and I thought it was due to high temperatures. Thanks!

Had to turn off the fogs. The halogens look awful next to the LED low beams.

Does the LED's have the same cast as the OEM's or is it a trade-off of purity and intensity? BTW, they look great and I will be pulling the trigger as well as long as the depth/cast is somewhat similar/acceptable.

To OP, you should do the fog light anytime mod. Make use of all your LEDs

You know I've been meaning to do that. I'll have I look it up. This allows you to use your brights and fogs simultaneously right? Thanks!

That is correct, not sure if anyone has anything for 3rd gen but lots for 2nd gen. Try it the 2nd gen way n be the guy to break ground on this mod if nobody has done it yet!? It also allows you to run only fog lights and DRLs. I'm watching for results. This is a very inexpressive if not free mod. I'm going to do this when I get my bumpers. Good luck!
