    I just installed my Toytec
    $125 Add-a-leaf kit for 1995-2023 Toyota Tacoma - 21.5" Short AAL Set with Isolator Pads and Square Bend U-Bolts
    Add-a-leaf kit yesterday afternoon. Took me about 3 hours. I also did the DIY "squeaky leaf fix" while i was in there. I figured I'd post a pic in a new thread so peopple can see what the AAL kit does for a truck with non-TSB springs (3 leaf pack). I now have 4 leaves. The front suspension is completely stock, the rear has just the AAL.

    The part I was finding difficult was getting the rear to lower far enough to get in there and work. The brake lines are JUST long enough to allow you to get in there. I was worried about damaging them, but theyre OK. I have some driveline vibration, so I'm going to install my carrier bearing shims first. If its still there, I'll order axle shims. I thought I had ordered the axle shims when I bought everything, but apparently I didnt. I used Toytecs longer U-bolts, but If youre doing JUST the AAL with no shims, you probably wont need them. The 7.5" U-bolts are a lot longer than stock. My 22mm deep socket barely fit.

    Looks good! Nice work, now level her out with with some eibach coils and bilsteins all the way around. You sir have been bitten by the mod bug, like the rest of us......there is no turning back....:D

    Thats how it was labeled on their site. But it seems to me that the two kits they offer are the same. Theres the standard 2" AAL and then theres another thats labeled as being 1.5" and will fit the TSB springs. I would guess theyre exactly the same, itll just give slightly less lift to the TSB springs.

    Don't forget to retorque the bolts after a short ride . You may be surprised as I was . I got a full turn from most of the bolts the first time then after 50 or so miles I again retorqued . I am now satisfied !

    what are your plans for the front to level out? i plan on add the AAL to my TSB springs for a higher payload if it is capable of it.

    I think I'm going to go with either Eibach or OME springs for the front. And Bilstein shocks.
