Just wanted to say hello all. New member, love the site. So far ive got a 1.5 inch leveling kit and a URD CAI on my 08 4x4 trd off road v6 double cab. Had a 01 tacoma 2.7 ex cab 4x4 with a toy tec 3 inch lift, custom rear bumper, custom intake, cat back custom exhaust. love my yotas. BTW anyone know if i can fit 285's with the leveling kit on the 08?? i understand i would need wheel spacers to miss the upper a arms. just not sure of fender rubing. i do own a saw-zaw for minor triming and am not scared to make some cuts. anyway nice to meet everyone. lots more to come with my new truck.

    Welcome

That was a nice 1st gen, love the tailgate.

As for the '08, you will either need new wheels with less backspacing or the spacers as you said. You will also need to either trim or remove the mud flaps as well as trim some fender plastic, not a big deal.

Welcome to TW from Charleston. I know you can get 285s on it bc i have a 3'' readylift on mine. I just ordered the spidertrax 1.25'' spacers for mine bc i got 285/75/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers under it. So for cheaper than new rims i would suggest spacers and the spidertrax were the best things i could find for your money and great quality. Great site for info and ideas.

    Nice trucks man.
