    Stock for now
The new SR package will have all the color matched accessories (minus the scoop) plus the ol' rugged trail Baja wheels.
I haven't seen one yet on the dealer lots up here in VT.
My first 2GEN Tacoma was a non-trd model DC SB 4WD so I get what you are trying to say.
I modded it the way I wanted still ended up spending lots of $$$ damn TW. :p

I don't think you're bashing the TRD. I just think you don't understand the packages that well. I have the 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed 4x4. With the TRD Exhaust installed, I payed 29k for mine out the door.

Not that you got an awful price or anything based on where you live, but the TRD Sport has all the color matched accessories, hood scoop, better interior seats than base or SR5, a bed outlet, and better factory rims/tires.

The ONLY thing that anyone has seen changed for 2014 is the relocation of the backup camera from the rear view mirror to the head unit. While doing so, some have reported that the auto dimming mirror is now one of the cheap flip down types.

But you are correct, you can add all the color matched accessories to your SR5. In fact, it looks like Toyota knows that there are people like you that don't want the TRD bells and whistles, but want the color matched accessories. That's why they brought out the SR package for 2014.

Sounds like you are trying to justify what you bought and why you bought it.

For me, I wouldnt buy an SR5 regardless of how much cheaper it was because of the seats alone.

I actually don't mind the seats. Finally got rid of the old car with leather!I hate leather!

TRD ones are probably comfier though, but if I never sit in one I won't have to think about it :D

In the end, you bought a truck that has one of, if not the best, resale value of any other truck large or small, so how bad can it be, right?

Exactly, though right now I plan to keep it forever. I love getting new vehicles! But I really like this truck so far.

Only 900 miles/2.5 weeks in but its been washed I think 7 times now LOL

Yeah snow sucks and it's coming fast! I honestly don't know how people drive 2wd full size pickups, s10s and rangers during our ice storms and such. Our delivery vehicles at work need snow tires and a few hundred lbs of sand in the back

Thanks lol, its been my name on every forum for years

I hear you. My 97 Z71 is 16 years old. I bought it new. Ordered it, in fact, as I didn't like the button actuators and bucket seats I kept finding on the lots. So, I got my 60/40 bench, with cloth, and the tried and true manual transfer case shifter. I was still pretty content with it, but my daughter will start driving in Dec, and I thought about trying to find her a used 4x4. I'm liking less and less of what is out there these days, so since I had been wanting to get a Tacoma as my personal second daily driver, I just elected to buy a new one, and give her my 97. I was using my 82 Toyota PU, but I think I may sell it off. If it's just me it's ok, but with both my daughters with me at times it gets a bit cramped. I'm really enjoying my '13, and like my 97, I suspect I'll be keeping it a very long time, if I ever get rid of it. She wanted the 82, but I just feel it's a bit too dangerous for a young driver. It slips and slides a bit too easy, and no air bags and anti-locks etc. I love it to death, but it's a tin can with solid axles and a transfer case. Great little truck, but probably not the safest option.

That's pretty much the case for everyone I think. It's pretty normal. Anyone who tells you they don't wash their new truck a bit more than is needed is probably not being completely honest. I live on a farm, and mine is pretty filthy right now, but I always try to keep my trucks clean, as the alternative is a straight up mess. I've had mine around a month, and am probably at 750 miles. Not sure how many washes though, ... but probably more than I've given any of the other vehicles in the same time, I can assure you of that. ha ha.

I work auto parts so I see my overly fair share of neglected car finished, interiors and engine bays.

So I am here to make up for those people!! lol
