Just noticed.... no chirp on keyless lock.....

    my 2011 chirps once for lock, twice for unlock and four times when I double tap to unlock the passenger door. it's not that loud, no plans to turn it off.

    Just redid both due to disconnecting the battery. Wish there was a backup battery for memory functions.

    If you want a long chirp, try to lock your truck with the fob WITH ONE OF THE DOORS OPEN.

    My chirp stopped working on my 2017 Taco. It was driving me crazy! I did find how to turn it off and on and adjust the volume (settings) but that didn't help. I finally found where the chirp comes from: tiny gray box in front of the battery. Part number #89747-0R020. About $40/50
