I want to get better at my crimping. The pins like to roll in the crimper I have. I even pinch in the seal portion and they still do it. Ends up looking like garbage when I'm done. I just couldn't see dropping $300 for a professional set.

I'm loving the harnesses I've been making for things. They actually look professional after the application of some Tessa tape.

Practice helps, but so does a good tool. Also, if you ever use split loom, check out this stuff: AmazonSmile: Inline Tube 2 Rolls Factory Electrical Non Adhesive Wiring Harness Friction Tape OEM (J-10-9): Automotive
It's called friction tape. It doesn't have adhesive, but sticks to itself really well. If you look at the factory looms where they have split loom, you will see it wrapped in this stuff. Looks like its electrical tape usually, but no crappy residue.

Thank you! Forgot about friction tape.

The crimper I have is out of a kit by Astro Pneumatic. Not high line, but not garbage heap.

For a fairly decent, inexpensive one, take a look at this one: IWISS Weather Pack Crimp Tool for AWG 24-14 Crimping Delphi APTIV Weather Pack Terminals or Metri-Pack Connectors- Crimp Terminals and Seal In ONE Cycle with Locator & Removal Extraction Tool - - Amazon.com Seems to be alright. @daveeasa has issues with it getting all of the ribs, but it does the OEM Sumitomo and Yazaki stuff too

I was so close. The cheap one on that page was my first acquisition! I'll give the other one a shot. Thanks!

    Two things.
1)Grab some silicone caulk sealant and fill the cracks in the bed nearest the cab. Water loves to come in there.

    2) Bed lights. These get real dark inside. I used https://mattgeckoleds.com/

Both of these things you can do ahead of receiving it
