Good job on the CPR! sounds like you were able to make a difference! Enjoy it, usually doesn't work out this well!

Remember, Good BLS=Good ALS=Good Tertiary Care

What's funny is anyone who makes comment like that in that situation is no doubt the gay one. And a total fucktard.
Could there be a better Bday present then saving a life? Excellent work!

You can always remind the kid that laughed at you for "kissing" that he can put a "Do Not Resuscitate" tattoo on himself, and then no one will "kiss" him should he need saving. That will spare the gene pool of one less idiot.

    Lots.
Thanks guy for the support. This really helped talking about it. Still a little stressed but ultimately feel good about it of course.

Teacher was busy freaking out. She was just happy to know someone knew CPR. Took a lot out of me. Just feel worn out and keep thinking about it. I have to give a presentation in a couple hours FML.

I want to indirectly thank the Boy Scouts of America and American Red Cross. I used the training programs they put together to help this kid out. Definitely worth becoming an Eagle Scout now.

Thanks again everyone. I'll update you guys when I get some answers myself.

Take care of yourself. I had a similar experience a few years ago on a Scuba trip. The guy we tried to help didn't make it but his family was very thankful for us trying. Congrats on responding. Not a lot of people know what to do or how to do it. It's a pretty powerful experience and it takes some time to process it all. You did good!

what an awesome story! shitty way to start the day unless it's your job lol. you did something that ive seen so many people freeze up and walk away from. Ive seen a husband walk away from his dead wife! because he was afraid. you really stepped up. IMO thats a great way to start the day you may have saved someones life! the shaking and stuff will go away thats just adrenaline going. hopefully your birthday gets better and your teacher gives you extra credit points lol happy bday

Good job for jumping and taking action, while most people would of probably walked away or just stand around and look at the kid. Maybe something good will come your way for doing good for someone else.

    Happy b-day!!

    Great job bud,

don't worry about the other people making fun, karma is a bitch, remember that.

In high school I was a firefighter and when ever my pager went off I was the joke of the moment until April 4 th of 1998 when I responded on the heavy rescue for a Mva. It turned out to be my best friend that I was with 2 hours before, he passed in the accident and I was on the jaws, after that day no one ever said a word when the pager went off,

You should be mighty proud for what you did. You never skipped a beat, you are a hero no matter what people said,

    great job!!!!!!!!
