I just picked up this truck for $950 yesterday. Very, very happy with it so far! It is mechanically sound as far as I can tell and the body is in excellent shape. Originally when I got it the entire car smelled like cigarettes and it was filthy, but after about 3 hours of shampooing and cleaning I got this truck looking pretty good!
I originally thought about buying this truck to flip it and make some quick cash, but one of our other cars just broke down so I increased my offer and it looks like I'm keeping it for a while.

There are 408,000 miles on the odometer, but it passed smog without problems and still runs really well. It came with a SnugTop bed cover too, which is a nice plus.

    Anyway, onto the pictures!

The steering wheel looks worse in this picture because of the flash, but I cleaned it a ton. I'm going to put a steering wheel cover on it tomorrow because it's still pretty gross.

I even found the original owner's manual as well as the last three years of maintenance records! The truck has been serviced at the same shop since at least 2012, so I figured I'd take it back there to find out where I'm at for fluid changes and whatnot in the service timeline.

Since it's over 400,000 miles what do you guys think I should do as far as maintenance? I'm assuming I should I use special high mileage oil? I'm going to talk to the mechanics to see if they have a more detailed service record, but if they don't, what are some of the first things I need to take care of? I've never owned a car with more than 100,000 miles so this is scary territory for me!

I'd go ahead and change all fluids if it were me.

Lol ur gonna pay more in fluid to be changed than the purchase of the truck. Nice find though!

Not really but it will be a large percentage. Well worth it IMHO

    Update:
The crack in the windshield expanded yesterday and now the windshield has to be replaced :(
Estimated cost is $198. Not sure if that includes labor. Now I guess it's a $1150 truck. :(
