Well after looking at a few too many tacos i finally pulled the trigger on an 09 double cab SR5.

No pics yet as it is 100% stock but not for long, this is where the questions come.

I am planning a road trip and we are leaving next week, since this truck needs new tires I want to get the lift done now.

I am wanting to run 305/70r/16s Duratracs due to the good rep in snow/mud.

Now for the lift, I am pretty set on OME 886's with bilstein 5100's as I am going to pick up an ARB bumper and a winch.

What should I run in the rear? I am wanting to do this somewhat cost effectively otherwise I would just go for OME rear leafs.

    Anyone running something similar?

The main purpose of the vehicle will be for hunting so no crazy off-road driving will occur, just basic trails.

    Advice please...

First off welcome to the T-Dub. As for your lift, why not just go for the full OME lift and be done. You can do what you have listed and just put an add a leaf in, but you will find out that the performance of an AAL is not nearly as good as OME's full leaf pack. I imagine that your budget is going to dictate what you do, I have that problem.

Will the OME kit give me a level stance with the heavy's and ARB or will I also need a spacer?

Don't know, give ARB USA a call and ask them. They were helpful when I had questions. I'm sure they will say that all trucks will sit differently, which is true, but toytech sells trim packers and spacers in the full lift package to compensate.
