Just purchased a used 2020. Did the previous owner lower it?

I've got 33" to the wheel wells, 16~" to the bottom of the frame (under the driver door) and 65~" to the top of the cab.

Is it supposed to be 70" to the top of the cab? That's what a little googling says.

It feels a little short but this is new to me so I could just be wrong.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

The 255 tires are about 1/2" shorter than the 265 size that comes standard on a Sport.

Whatever they did it has a nice stance and is a nice looking ride.

    Thanks guys!
I need this guy to go down some forest roads every now and then so it'll have to come back up.

I'm a complete novice to mods. Is there anything I should be aware of before finding someone to get it back to stock? Is it just removing whatever makes it drop and I don't need to worry about anything else that could go wrong?
Probably a dumb question but I appreciate anyone's patience.

Looks like it. You'd have to look at the suspension. Looks like somewhat thin street tires on it as well

It looks lowered. I am 35 inches ground to the front wheel well and 37 inches ground to the rear wheel well. Here is a picture of my Access Cab the week I bought it.

    4x4 or 2wd?

i'd take a look underneath. the rear should be on lowering blocks that just need to be removed, possibly shorter replacement u-bolts to the leafs, the front could be springs, cut springs, or aftermarket drop spindle mounts--but i didn't think they were made for the 3rd gen...

Previous owner traded in a Tacoma for a Chevy. That should be a plenty big red flag about the previous owner's taste and judgment.
