Just purchased a used 2020. Did the previous owner lower it?

Looks like the stock pack, with a spring under kit. Easy way to lower.

Was this vehicle sold to you as "stock"?

It will cost a decent amount to revert it back to stock suspension configuration....

I'm not so sure about that. You can get some OEM take-offs for everything he needs other than new u-bolts which he ought to get anyhow. The only random things that might be slow to find as take-offs are the bumpstops and shackles, and I've got a set of OEM shackles he can have for free.

If he doesn't have a workspace he's guna need to pay a shop, he'll need an alignment at the end of it all too and if he needs a leaf pack that's another $700 right there.

    Adds up very quickly

Also why would anyone waste their time with used suspension components? Do it right and do it once. It's actually cheaper in the long run.

I would 100% put on some used, low-mileage OEM take-offs for a truck I bought used and modified in order to make the truck functional for my needs.

He has a 5 lug 2wd truck. If you look at the front suspension it is different than the 6 lugs and the springs on the rear of a 5 lug mount under the rear axle. They stopped making the 5lug 2wd's in 2020 and they do sit lower than the 6 lug versions

Damn, did Don Franklin Chevrolet/Cadillac sell this to you?
They could've disclosed this. Oh well, as mentioned, if you aren't paying straight shop time, you can find a low mileage OR suspension for cheap, so the fix isn't bad.

BTW: this is a 2wd truck, so adjust you expectations accordingly.
A 2wd can go A LOT of places, and sounds like it might fit your needs, but you will need A/T tires, some weight in the rear, etc.

Brand new bilstein 5100 all around is still much better bang for buck than going the used route

I respectfully disagree, and OP needs a lot more than just coilovers and shocks.

Have Op off his center cover of his wheel and take a pic and you will see it is a 5 lug. Pics he provided of his front suspension is a 5lug set up

I mean it's a 2wd truck might aswell embrace it and go full xrunner. But really really someone spent some money to drop that thing I never would of thought of going spring under to lower a leaf sprung truck. Will definitely take some work to revert.

that's literally how all leaf-sprung vehicles are lowered. a block on top of the leafs to lift the axle higher. now i'm really curious, is there another way other than entirely custom or flipped leaf packs?

OP, i hope you got a spectacular deal on the truck to be turning around and doing all this work on it post-purchase.

i mean, i like it as a street truck as-is, but if it doesn't suit your needs, i honestly think you bought the wrong truck. there's far too many non-modified tacoma's on the market everywhere to be dealing with all this work if what you really want is a stock ride height 2wd truck.

I come from the land of coil overs or lowerng springs had never once thought of lower a truck because well its never been an interest street trucks are dumb in my eyes. So it was interesting to actually see it.

Fairly basic kit, super easy to convert back.

Pretty sure this is what on the OP’s truck, or very similar

Let's be honest to alot of people the second you talk about removing a leaf spring they are out. I'm implying is going to take more work than just slapping some shocks on. In reality it's an afternoons work for anyone competent.

It sounds like you want to get back to stock and have more clearance, but if you like the lowered looks here is a Toyota concept X-Runner truck.
