Typical ford owner trying to fix his own brakes. Came in locked up and no pedal

The kicker was it wasn’t a noise complaint. It was a pedal to the floor complaint. He had one of those DWI breathalyzers in his car.

I just found this page today.... :bananadance:
All caught up and as a few have said before I love this shit.
Was delivering parts to a gas station repair shop many many moons ago and a customer came in complaining about the brakes. Apparently she took it to these guys I was delivering part too and they forgot to put the caliper bolts back in. She drove back to the shop with calipers hanging off both front wheels. I don't know how she got it there, just had the dude sign for the parts and left SMFH!

Did they understand the problem or did you have to show them the parts to convince them they needed new EVERYTHING?

Had to show him all the parts after I was done. Didn’t believe me. My motto is “ I didn’t build it, I didn’t buy it, and I didn’t break it. But I can fix it if you pay me enough”

This thread is my favorite. It's entertaining and disappointing all at the same time.

Of the many quotes I've learned while studying Lean Manufacturing, there's one that always reminds me to keep these kinds of people in mind:
