    Tim - very glad to hear that your lady friend was OK. Also very glad to hear you and your friend were able to walk away from the accident. I'm from WA, but wife is from Portland and she knows exactly the area you wrecked - she gave a worried look as she read your post. Trucks are a hunk of metal plastic and engineering, unlike people. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do with your truck and as many have stated, very glad you and your metalcrafting talents walked away safely.

    PS - your bumper held up like a champ!

    I've come close to wrecking from black ice before. When it snowed back in February I was driving to my friends house back when I had bald mud tires. Hit some ice and just started sliding through the other lane as a truck was coming towards me, I just let go and let it do what it was gonna do and luckily it did a 180 degree turn into a wide driveway narrowly missing a culvert. All while going 25 mph... I hated having no control over that kind of stuff!
