Ridgeline is a car with unibody frame. Real trucks don't use unibody IMO.

Be careful when you enter the fanboy lair. I like these threads because it brings out the fanboys in droves. Say one bad thing about the Tacoma and out they come.

You realize unless you do some SERIOUS offloading then this really means NOTHING.

There are frigin suvs on the market that can out tow and haul or so-called trucks .

I've driven Vic's for 15 years... They can off road pretty well! I was pretty upset when ford decided to discontinue them. The new explorers are nice tho! :burnrubber:

Haha ... only way I'd be in one. I was forced to drive a KIA Soul about a month ago and surprisingly liked the ride and inside room for such a small car, so you never really know until you're in the drivers seat.

    lol

And the extra big $$$ they spent to beef up the unibody increases cost dramatically, improves ride comfort, makes for faster depreciation. In five years of owning it it depreciates enough to buy a new Taco 4wd 6 V6 !!! And forget about anything other than a highway.

Ridgeliner are NOT beefed up unibodies.

$70,000 is sharp looking also.:eek::eek:
    Depreciation is worse.

Then why only 5000 pound tow capacity if it soooo strong?

Funny thing I went to Uhaul online and it didn't have ridgeline as a model to select to haul a large trailer. Am I seeing something wrong ?

Are they not renting to unibody like the explorers ?

My guess is because somebody started a thread on TacomaWorld about the Honda Ridgeline instead of going to the Honda RL forum to discuss the RL with like minded people.

I think this thread was started here so that the OP could bash its looks. Why did he (Spylake) even take the time to register and post? If they have a thread on the RL forum bashing the Tacoma...I sure as hell won't know about it...or care. I'll never grace that site to know.

I participate on a Ram, Frontier, Ridgeline, Canyon/Colorado and Tacoma forums. Forums are just one of many sources to use to become familiar with a vehicle. As far as the RL forums, posters on that site pretty much state that the RL is not in direct competition with the Tacoma. The RL is targeted towards a different user.

I really enjoyed my 06 Tacoma. I am still researching which of the mid size pu I want to purchase. imo, all vehicles have their +/-'s.
It boils down to what you want to do with the vehicle.
