Thing is huge and looks really bloated. Truly rest in peace mid sized trucks. Looks like an SUV with the back of the roof cut off for a bed.

Idk, I saw a 2024 "pre production" (I asked if I could open the door and the Toyota people said no) TRD Off road and TRD Sport over the weekend. I thought they looked similarly sized enough compared to the 3rd gen. The Sport had the air dam, the Off Road did not. The wheels on the TRD off road looked way worse than the 3rd gen Off Roads. While I am not super technical on suspension components, I tried to look to see if I could see any labels on the off road and could not.

Overall length is the same. Track width is plus one inch one either side. I wouldn't be able to discern that. Someone needs to recalibrate their vision.

LOL - it's the same size as the outgoing model. Lots of people are "anti-new-anything" if they realize they soon won't have the latest and greatest on the market.

Yes, its massive Chinese toy made of plastic. I have 23 V6 and I love it more as days pass. I swapped from old 03 4runner and was skeptical at first but Tacoma is sick truck too, I am now voting for new gen 4runner, hopefully they wont mess it up.

Fellas having new gen car is not a good thing lmao, it will have problems. Toyota fixes stuff very fast but still, always good to wait second or third row of new gen.

So you are saying that I can't buy new Tacoma and I am mad ? You realize that I can just trade my V6 into base model 2024 Tacoma right? Which will be way cheaper than double cab SX package V6 I have now. Crazy really how people gets salty over stuff

In length they are same. They want to make sure people can fit them in garage, so they are same in length but maybe difference in width.. Or new model just looks buffed because all the extra plastic

Saw an orange one on the road today. Very boxy. Like a Jeep and a Rivian had a baby.

They have a similar look to the new Colorado. I just can't get past the 4cyl. Why not a 6cyl paired with 8-10 speed transmission?

Because the 4 cyl does better and likely saves fuel

With the new Toyota (smaller) engines coming out, the MPG is increasing by 1-5 mpg. I know they are getting better with the hybrids, but I just dont see how that is a good enough reason to downsize. The new GX is dropping in motor size increasing transmission speed and getting 1 mpg improvement. I know it is bigger and heavier, but, 1mpg?

No, because of gov cafe requirements that make maufacturers so they meet emissions and mileage.
Batteries and turbos at greater so they perform with greater initial expense and maintenance costs for sure. Id is really worth it ?
No 4 cyl for with batts for me. I'd go full size.
These hourly labor rates and costs of parts are getting to be out of this world. KISS.

More power, more torque, less fuel consumption; what's not to like?
