So I come into work this morning and my buddy here goes to tellin me about the show Top Gear. Says he watched it last night and they had a contest "worlds toughest truck." Now I didnt see it nor have I ever seen it, maybe some of you did. He tells me 3 trucks are in the contest, chevy, ford and dodge. Says they go thru Alaska to get to a destination, first one there wins.
He tells me that the chevy won, but also added they were using Toyota Tacomas as the film crew.
Hmm, let me get this straigth. Got a contest. We're going to film it. What truck can we use that will keep up with our contestants in the situations they are going to put themselves in.....hmmmm Tacoma maybe ??
I think we know the toughest truck. BRANG IT Top Gear !!!!

The hosts are a joke, try to be funny and aren't, and the show is a horrible american version of the real show, from britain. The real BBC top gear is a great show, and they love toyota trucks.... and they actually are good actors, funny, and know what they are talking about.

after watching the BBC version for years, the US version completely sucks. it would be far better if the didn't try to act like the BBC characters. even when the say "and now lets hand it over to our tamed racing driver, the Stig" they completely fail. off topic, but oh well.

    Not enough.
I seen it. I got annoyed.

They kept calling the little yota the "disgrace truck" and kept referring to it as "the import". Then when they had to drive it they acted like they were going to contract aids by touching it.

But throughout the whole way, it was right behind them.

Then again it is AMERICAN top gear, so what message did they want to give the viewers? BUT AMERICAN!
....and you will make it to the top of a glacier, all the while needing a yota to accompany you...just in case:D

The funny thing is is that the BBC Top Gear did a show in '03/'04 about the old Toyota truck (Hilux I believe) and how it was indestructible. From what I remember they did things like set it on fire, let it sink underwater at the beach, and set it atop a building that was destroyed.....still able to get it running and all after all the things they did to it!...The point of it all was to show how well toyota made their truck...

Tried to find the video but all I found were blocked due to BBC copyright...

Either way, I find it funny that even the "same show franchise" contradicts itself.
