OP why do you have 2 r’s in your name? One is enough to do the job. Are we to “roll” the second r?

I’m aware I have 2 A’s in my name. One is for ambiance.

I can speak with the F-150 definitely being a quiter and actually smoother ride... but you drove a Ridgeline...

Something is wrong. I posted a few weeks ago that mine was the quietest vehicle I've ever owned. I can't hear the engine or transmission ,wind noise or anything. I'm not posting this to be argumentative, I'm just telling you the truth. I bought a Lexus RX350F AWD a few days ago and it's the same way. I think I would tell the service manager WE need to go for a ride in a new Tacoma off your new car lot, and then say why is mine not like that ! Mine is so quiet you have to look twice to make sure it is really off and not running. Have you rode in another new Tacoma?

 

Tacoma is much quieter than my first-gen Ridgeline (but noise was a big issue for that truck). Cabin noise increases exponentially (or so it seems) once you go above 80. Tacoma is also much noisier than my Audi Q7, which is double the cost.

Takeaways:
1) it's all relative
2) you get what you pay for
