my first time off roading.. didnt know how i would do..... i guess i did ok.. got stuck once.. =X


this is where i got stuck... =X right dab in the middle... i think i would have been fine if the sidebars werent there

so i had to do this to get home...




you can see where something hit it on the left....

anyone ever had just the window replaced? most of these auto glass place will only replace the whole back and not just that window... and they want $700

 

Sucks that the window broke somehow. My girlfriends parents have an 06 Tacoma and broke one of their windows and had to have the whole thing replaced so it doesnt sound good for only getting the single piece replaced.

 

ouch... thats too bad...

 

yeah it sucks... =X i had fun though.. i guess that counts... now time to fix... maybe a lift and some tires too... my friend's jeep was showing me up =X.. im bone stock though.

 

I had to get my entire window replaced also. No one makes just one window for the back.

get the cr lawrence brand replacement instead of the toyota one, my replacement was only 450

 

claim it on your insurance, most glass places will pay your deductible. (makes the whole thing free). shouldn't raise your rates either...

Not entirely true. Most states require no deductible front windshield replacements, they can still charge a deductible for other windows.

It can also raise your rates if you claim it too many times...They are still paying out on your account so eventually it will come back to bite you.

 

How did you get stuck?! High centered?

Coolness counts for something right? At least now you've got a story to tell! That's how you felt after you were done beating yourself over it. After you got stuck! After your off roading was done. When you found out it was going to cost you $700.

Try a junkyard for used glass I used it on my pathfinder. It saved me alot of money and you couldn't tell it wasn't knew.

 

im gonna get a lift soon.. so hopefully i wont get stuck anymore... im thinking 6" with 35's... or is that too much? throw on some mickey Thompson baja mud grapplers =D

 

aftermarket rear glass or go to a glass place that does stores and they can cut you just the one side.
