Some of you anyway. It was great. Had it for about 45 minutes, without the salesman which was really nice.

Drove like I expected it to. Didn’t notice anything weird or strange. Power was fine for what it is, basically a mini truck. I gave it the business a few times and it definitely had some wallop to the higher revs.

I was really impressed by the ride. It was just an SR5 but I noticed how comfortable it was on our really bumpy roads.

Salesman is calling me when they get a sport in for me to try.

Did that give you enough time to make it to Home Depot, load up the lumber, drop it off at home, then get back to the dealership?

The only difference you’ll feel between the Sport and SR5 is the Sport will be a more firm ride due to the shocks are different

I agree I have a 19 and don't experience the issues everyone seems to complain about. Never drove the SR5 but I also went with a sport.

I have always loved my auto 17, tranny and all with 33’s. It’s the best truck I have ever owned and I’ll drive it into the ground.

Now load it up with full steel armor, steel bumpers, a winch, 20+ light bars, 35" tires (maybe 37" to be safe), a canopy with a RRT sail, and a bunch of superfluous overlanding gear (jerry cans, shovels, axe, propane, etc) and tell us how it drives.

Load literally any truck up with all that and tell us how it drives.
    What's your point?

It was a tongue in cheek commentary, mocking individuals on TW who complain about how these trucks drive, but don't recognize that they've turned their mid-sized truck into a boat anchor with a bunch of bolt on accessories.

I'm guilty of a few infractions myself, but I don't generally complain about the driving characteristics of my truck.

PS: I'm pretty sure I could put my Tacoma in the bed of my buddies 3500 HD Chevy and it would improve his driving characteristics... so maybe not "any truck"

I don't have a 3rd gen but I would recommend buying a Tacoma just based on reliability and resale value, but in most cases people don't ever sell them because they are great trucks, I prefer my auto trans. over a manual trans anyday, especially if its a daily driver no more rowing thru gears for me
