You should give the OR a test drive too! I was sure I wanted the sport until I test drove the OR.

I'm not so sure these days. Tons of experts, folks buying things they don't need because it's cool and has an image. A bunch of "let me talk to your manager" types. Haha

OP glad you found a truck you liked. Hope you get one and your happy.

Side note, if you're looking for a difference in ride you can almost always find take off sport shocks in a private sale for a very reasonable price.

Just food for thought. Easy install. 4 bolts per shock up for, two in rear.

Ya but can’t get the OR with a long bed in Canada. I asked the salesman why and he said “no idea at all”.

My route to and from the house involves a long substantial grade both going and coming at highway speeds (Speed Limit is 65). The truck doesn't hunt for gears and it doesn't shift constantly. Absolutely no complaints from me - I love this truck.

I do believe folks when they say their truck doesn't do the weird stuff often cited on the forum (many by me directly...). My truck was far from perfect, had several TSBs, CPS recall, diff weep, howling/leaf pack, HPFP squeal - really bad, warped drums from the factory, and multiple ECU updates for the erratic shifting and poorly design shift-AI. Wanted to drive it off a pier on more than one occasion, but I stuck with it and after all the fixes - which exercised every ounce of my patience, my truck has been outstanding to drive. It never really "bogs," I can now actually get the advertised 20mpg combined MPGs unless I have a bunch of gear loaded and going 80mph on mountainous interstate driving, and even then it'll still get 16-17 reliably.

Now, it does what I want it to when I want it to. It'll shift on grades, but for the most part it sticks to 5/6 with the TC unlocked "bumps" in between that can "feel" like a shift, but outside of climbing over mountain passes where 4th (or even 3rd) IS appropriate, or when flooring it to pass, it stays in overdrive on the highway 95% of the time. On the stock tune, stock gears, etc., and I too plan to drive it into the ground. 61k on the odometer on my 17' and plan to easily drive it to 200-250k at this point.

The “bog” throttle response was something I wanted to investigate and didn’t encounter that at all. It didn’t burn rubber but very adequate acceleration that does knock you back in your seat once it hits (what I used to refer to back in my 2 stroke motocross days as) it’s “powerband”.

Too bad. You lucky Canadians can get the Limited in a longbed though whereas it’s only available in a SB in the US.

Another surprise was the rear seat. I thought it was a joke but once I adjusted my driving position (I’m 5’10”) my wife tried the seat right behind and said she had plenty of room. She’s about 5’8” said the rear seat was more comfortable than our Rav.

It’s not a family vehicle as our kids are all adults but it’s good to know there’s room back there in case of emergency.
