Hi guys and maybe gals, I just want to say thanks for all ya'll help even though I'm new here. Long time reader before I joined. Ya'll have helped me through slight problems along the way. I have an 2003 ex cab 2.7 4x4 W59 with 249,000 on it. Suspension was shot. Through reading ya'll forum I decided on brands of parts to rebuild the old girl with. Love this truck even though high mileages. Really up until this only ever replaced an O2 sensor and slave cylinder, change the oil, fill up with gas and just drive it. Can't beat that. Thanks again and if I can help in anyway let me know.

I decided that I probably won't get anything for my truck on trade and it still runs good and I have an other truck so I rebuild the front end and addressed a few little issuses I had. Next is tranny. Getting little rough on some gears. I'm sure synchronizers are shot. Trying to decide if I want to rebuild it or buy one from Marlin Crawler

never just assume, are you aware that the book value on a 2003 tacoma is around $11k

No I booked it the other night. Even with the high miles it booked higher than I would have guessed. I mainly did it because my dad has a 2nd gen and personally I like my first gen better than the newer ones.

me personally, before buying any new truck today I would rather invest that money you are thinking about spending on a new one and I think its a better value in putting in a new crate engine and tranny and make my taco new again rather then have any of that new crap they sell today.

are you having problems with it? there is no reason not to believe it will go another 250k miles if it is well maintained, really it should
