Just thinking out lout-welding in bed stakes

    Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
    Some time this summer, I'll be getting the bed spray-lined. Along with that, I've been looking at ways to haul a canoe around and a bed stake frame is the obvious option but as you know, Tacomas don't come with bed stake holes.

    That got me thinking, if I were to weld in 2x4 steel tubing into the corners of the bed, they'd be out of the way yet would be available to build a frame for a canoe mount. Plus, if I get them welded in prior to getting the truckbed spraylined, they just become "part of the truck".

    Has anyone else done this and do you have pics?
