With the help of some VHT Night Shades, My rear now looks a little different. It came out a little darker than I had hoped, but it should be fine for now, I may just sand down the circular area for the brake light a little to lighten that part up later.

    What do you guys think?

Looks good! I dig that you left the reverse light clear. Brakes look a little dark though.

Looks good dude, but yeah as stated way to dark. Usually people cant get the glossy look from doing it themselves, so good work!

Maybe I'm missing something, but why tint something that by definition is supposed to be bright?

just alot of clear coats!!!! I personally like the look but yeah i could see it being that dark as a problem. I put on 3 or so light coats and it came out pretty dark. But, even during the day, all lights are still pretty bright.

No offense but tinting tail lights to look cool is a really unsafe idea, I hope you change your mind before someone gets hurt by not seeing your lights

    1) Good job on the tint, man. The final product looks well done but yeah a little too dark for my taste. Glossy look is nice tho.
    2) My buddy just finished clearing a fix-it ticket he got for his tinted tailights. I let him borrow mine to get it cleared by the sheriff. Total cost was only $25 for the ticket, not including the hassle of clearing a ticket. Better luck to you, bro.

Haha, I cant let a buddy pay through the roof for new tail lights. No taco left behind! HAha but yea not the most ethical answer to the problem on 2nd thought.
BUT fyi OP, start thinking about what to do in case you get a ticket as well or even worse.....
Just giving you a heads up, I will never wish bad things to another taco.
