Just wanted to rant about this...

So over the last few months, I've noticed an increase of companies and people offering "giveaways".

Basically you pay a set fee to enter into a drawing for an item that they are "giving" away. Some require a minimum purchase, others require a fee with a limited number of spots.

Here's my problem with this.... it's so shady and sometimes deceiving. And to top it off. Some of these companies have been called out on not even actually giving the price to anyone and hoping people eventually forget.

Diesel Brothers is a perfect example. They've been called out on a few occasions for not announcing the winner of trucks and even extending the time frame repeatedly if they dont get enough entries or purchases on their site. This isnt me saying this is true or not. Just what I've read. But there are entire blogs and YouTube channels on it.

Everyone is following suit. Because if you do the math on how much money they'd make on entries vs the cost of the item being raffled, they make almost double sometimes more.

I'm all for a business growing and finding new ways to make profit, but these raffles and giveaways are just shady as hell in my opinion.

Keep in mind. All of this is my opinion. And for those of you who would say "just dont join in the raffles" I dont. Just putting my input out there for the people who are on the fence about them.

At least your given the opportunity to "give" your money away. My debit card was skimmed a couple of weeks ago. Cleaned out my account and went into the negative over $1500. Bank said they let it go that far because I was a good customer.
