It was a good movie to watch (entertainment) but kinda lacked something. I kept waiting for the story line also.

Not a movie - but I recommend (if you have access to it) getting (or downloading) the documentary series called "Baker Boys"
We downloaded it off DirectTV on-demand. It's a 3-part series of a journalist who lives in the field with 'Baker Company' in Iraq. You learn a lot about what goes on out there (atleast, for them).

    In my sig
I absolutely agree. But throughout the movie I was waiting for the climax(lol) of why that dude was on the edge.

Full Metal Jacket (the bootcamp sequence) is probably the closest actual military movie I've seen.
The very beginning of Saving Private Ryan would be next, the realism portrayed was outstanding. After the beach landing it all went downhill.

I haven't seen the movie yet - but I heard that it was a solid movie. Now I'm double-thinking that... I might rent it this weekend and see what is going on with that.

I thought "the marine" was pretty accurate... it's like watching a white version of me on the screen.

I didn't think that "The Marine" was all that accurate... But very funny how you put it.

Heartbreak Ridge was an AWESOME movie. I always loved getting the new butter bars to go get a box of grid squares or keys for the HUMVEE.

Behind Enemy Lines is pretty good, even though Lt. Burnett became a buddy fucker and left his friend there to die....

Just watched Hurt Locker. First half of the movie was alright, then comes the second part. Second part & ending = makes you go WTF??

In the middle of the movie, "Colonel Reed" shakes James' hand and asks how many bombs he disarmed... For those of you who have seen Generation Kill, doesn't Colonel Reed act like Captain America in a way?? lol

The part that was really funny was when the 3 EOD techs decided to split up and search the buildings.

That there, really defines the true meaning of being an Army of one! :p

And the part where SGT Sanborn takes control of the .50 cal Barrett and unloads hell to the building with insurgent snipers. They could've at least let SGT James a.k.a RANGER be the hero instead! Instead, James just became the soldier who volunteers to take the billet of spotter/capri-sun boi/and a failed working party soldier who couldn't do a simple job of cleaning the blood off the .50 cal bullets. Since they were in a rush to load bullets and fire down range, Mr. James could've done it himself. The poor Specialist had to do it...

    That really defines working party!!!

And those contractors who got shot up...

What a bunch of shitbags. I guess we like to act like we're fucking playing airsoft, right?:p

You know they're shitbags when they have BFG Rugged Failed on their Ford Excursion!!

I'm disappointed to hear the reviews. It was supposed to be good. The film makers were embedded for a while according to a FOX news interview. Damn it.
