Not my intention at all. None of it is hard. It was stated that a 255/85 could be fit with zero trimming. I was sharing my experience and list of things that had to be done to get them to clear. :notsure:

No problem just didn’t want the other guy to feel turned away from going up in tire size because it sounded like tons of trimming and work. I know everyone has to cut different amounts and something will need to get trimmed away to fit that tire size if you wanna off road.

Think we were doing the same thing, just on opposite ends. I just wanted him to be aware that there will be some modification required.

The good news is that it’s all plastic, other than smashing the pinch weld. All very easy tasks.

    Idk. Haha.

Rubbed like a bitch on the washer res. Top of the fender liners. Had to trim the flares. Pinch weld. Trimmed the stock bumper.

The issues in the rear are due to the dakars’ Center pin being about 3/4” frontward of the Stock pack’s position.

    Same. Haha

Making the tub out of fiberglass. The passenger side is essentially done but I will do another coat of resin on Monday probably then do undercoating to seal it all up. I will post pictures when both sides are done. Honestly coming out better than it originally seemed like it would. This is purely out of curiosity but we'll see how it does :notsure:

So, funny thing. I'm averaging the exact same MPG with 315s as I was with my 265s after the front locker  Right around 16 smiles per gallon over the last 2 tanks, driving exactly the same as I was before except the first tank I did a lot of hard accelerations and such to test the gearing. Very happy with my setup right now

Got the passenger side fiberglass coated with more resin inside and out today, should be water tight now. Inside has the rubberized undercoating done, but waiting until tomorrow to do the primer and undercoating layer on the outside so I can be certain all the fiberglass resin and gel has fully cured before coating it. Pretty stoked on this, I think it came out really good and it's something different. May work permanently or may not and I might end up welding the tub in at some point but who cares? I learned a lot from this.
It looks atrocious as is so I'm not posting any pictures until the rubberized undercoating is on the outside and everyone can see the after before the before picture.
Probably going to be Saturday before I get around to doing the driver side

To-do list before LBL next week:

    Has to get done:
Extend rear diff breather - Friday evening (I know I should've done this years ago, but I've been lucky so far, just got all the parts ordered)
Finish Fiberglass tub - Saturday morning

    Would like to get done:
    Install dash cam - Wednesday
Trim interior to fit after tub and reinstall - Saturday afternoon
Install new wiper reservoir in new location - Saturday afternoon
Solder broken blinker wire - Saturday night
    Clean/Wax truck???

Likely won't get done until after:
Alignment (hopefully will keep tires off the frame)
Touch-up paint/bedliner, sand and repaint rusty sliders

If you use the spray undercoating, make sure it's warm in the garage. It can run like a crazy and won't even stick if it's cold.
Tried to use it on my slider plates because I ran out of bed liner and the stores were out too. It didn't stick at all

Thanks I've used it before for various things and never had any issues but if it doesn't hold I'll have to pull the truck into the shop with the heat on when I get home tonight
