Out of stock as usual anyway.

There’s no way to do duals for less than $2k

    From LROR all TG parts
    -Engine to tcase adapter $670
    -4.7/2.28 dual cases $1450
    -Crossmember $300
    -DS x2 $300
-Misc (VSS adapter, tcase mounts, etc) $100

mini truck cases seem to be going for close to $300 each. Dual case build is still starting to look a bit too expensive for me any time soon

Connor being the voice of reason here as always
You're right though I think. From what I've seen it still seems like it'll easily break $1500 and I just can't spend that until at least after these next 2 college semesters are over

I appreciate the info Hoff, but itll probably have to be over a year before I can dump money into cases. Think if I just put a lot of evenings into this axle I can get it flipped and rebuilt before August and carry on with the swap. I may be hitting you up a lot for info on the flip and frame rebuild too

Don't put 4.7s in it, crossmember needs to be built anyway regardless of cases, and don't ignore the part where I said buy used parts/adapters . Side note Jesus Marlin and tg jacked up their prices

My advice: take whatever you think (or Conners telling you) an SAS will cost and at least multiply it by 2.5 and triple the time, and red ZUKs build thread about 1000times.

The voice of reason is the person who had actually done the job telling you not to do it.

I'm praying I can do the SAS for under $2k but we shall see. That's sticking with the 4.10 gears, I'll regear later when I get hydro assist before bigger tires. Axle and steering is half that expense, junk yard suspension and steel is the rest. But who knows. Got $500 into it so far for axle, ifs hubs, and steering box

Lol that sounds like something one of the Florida guys would do. They wheel so heavy on the throttle that they need to overbuilding everything, they probably would need 2 tons for 40s.

I baby my shit. Think my little 8" axles will hold up fine with 39s or 40s and I'll have ground clearance to spare

Scratch that, I need this one
    https://coreswest.com/trail-gear-true-tacoma-width-front-axle/
and my bad, it doesn't come with longfields, just proper length shafts with no birf.
Can't find any info on what center that axle is built for though. Wonder if my 8" third will just bolt in

EDIT: I'm stupid, that's the same part number

I wouldn’t run 21 spline stuff behind a v6 dc Taco so might as well just get 4.7’s while you are going to 23 spline stuff. I double checked the TG 3.4 to gear drive adapter is like $350. I pulled the price for the double adapter kit for a 3.4.

I think Justin has the right idea looking at a TG housing like he posted in the bs thread instead of a mini truck axle

How soon are you looking to swap the front axle in...I have diamonds on order, looking to get rid of my flipped '83 housing with RCV inners and a couple other goodies for a few $$$?

It'll be August or at least late July before I can chop the IFS off. I may bite if the savings over the TG axle are there. When are you wanting to get rid of it?

It should be well off by then, will be pulled off as soon as the new housings come in.
Welcome to check out the few pages of my build thread to see the flipped housing and mods to it.
