Haha thanks. I'm not worried about cosmetics too much, just has to look ok. How do you like your 4.88s? I'm leaning 5.29 right now

Haha I don’t give a shit about the look either. Mines a real pile of hacked shit now. Just super go over with sealant. Im having small water drops in some areas so I’ll probably redo mine soon. I don’t have 4.88s still on 4.10s for now. I planned on getting a atlas for summer so I could crawl the rubicon but I’ve changed my mind for now and I’m gonna do 5.29 gears pretty soon. I’d do 5.29.

Ah for some reason I thought you had 4.88.
How does it do on the highway with 4.10? I'm probably gonna wait a few months for gears

Does okay. It’s slow but I have a manual so I can cruise 4th gear and have power. I can use 5th just not up hills very well

There’s another guy on here who had an auto with 35s and 4.10s and seemed to do fine but was an extra cab. Mpgs ain’t great. I get about 180-200 miles a tank but I do mostly city driving so about 13-15. 16-17 highway probably

Yes Justin, paint your bumper in the dark at 6:30pm with a shop light. Brilliant idea. We'll see if I regret this tomorrow.

Just got the same one recently. Be careful with that piece the remote plugs into I barely hit it with my hand and broke all the screws out.

Pull that winch apart and repack it with AMS oil synthetic race grease before you even use it. Ask @allmotorrex or @beertimecontinuum why....

Insufficient Chinese grease inside. Pull apart the planetary gears set, clean of old grease, pack in new grease. I used Amsoil because racetruck. Will run smoother, cooler, longer..

Huh. Do people actually have problems with these winches when they don't replace the grease?

Not sure if trouble or if someone pulled theirs apart and saw no grease or what, but many people advised me the same. When I got it apart and saw how little grease there was I knew I could only improve it by replacing the original grease with more and better grease. I plan on using it often :D

Haha, yeah no doubt it's an improvement. Just wondered if it was ever really an issue
