    From the article:

Red or blue lights on a civilian motor vehicle are also a serious offense. C.R.S. 42-4-238 states: “A person shall not be in actual physical control of a vehicle…that the person knows contains a lamp or device that is designed to display, or that is capable of displaying if affixed or attached to the vehicle, a red or blue light visible directly in front of the center of the vehicle.”

This means if the red light or the blue light is visible to the front of the vehicle, regardless if it is coming from the interior or exterior, it is a violation. If you are contacted by law enforcement for this violation, you can be cited for “knowingly possessing a vehicle with a red or blue light,” which is a class 1 misdemeanor and a summons into court.

    And:

Class 1 Misdemeanors A class 1 misdemeanor is the most serious type of misdemeanor in Colorado. Class 1 misdemeanors are punishable by six to 18 months in jail, a fine of $500 to $5,000, or both. (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 18-1.3- 501.)

Colorado Felony and Misdemeanor Crimes by Class and Sentences.pdf (district70.org)

    Again, good luck to ya.

It's a slow, slow day at work so no, not at the moment.

For the record I don't give a shit whether or not you have an illegal red light on the front, nor do I care if you get busted for it, it doesn't affect me in the least, it's your time and money at risk.. I just thought you might like to know, in case you didn't, what the law was.

Sorry that seems to have upset you. I'll go be Mr. Pedantic somewhere else now.:rofl::rofl:

It's because the cops think you're the Hoff. If they stop you it's only because they want a picture for the 'gram. what does the Hoff drive when he is picking up a load of lumber from Home Depot? You guessed it, a Tacoma.

No not upset. Just seemed like you were being a downer since were mostly here to show off mods and taco stuff I didn’t need a law lesson. I knew the risk of installing it and the outcome of the law before I did it. Thanks for the insight though and looking out. So far like I had said I haven’t had any cop tell me anything.

Netflix has 4 seasons of Knight Rider available. Yes, I did go back and watch a couple of episodes. I used to own a 77 Trans Am is why I watched a couple of episodes, so OP I love your mod. Just don’t drive around with a fake DEA badge.

    https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/20...nts-among-homeless-people-complaint-says.html

Here is the best line in the above story:
“Sometimes, he told investigators, he used the red-and-blue police lights on the Charger to “get through traffic faster,” and once held up his badge and yelled, “Police!’ to try to break up a fight, according to the complaint.”

Yikes. Cosplaying a Fed is a great way to attract unwanted attention to yourself, esp the DEA. They don't play.

And why the hell are they always carrying BB guns?

Edit to add: just joshing. nice mod... not my style as I'd rather not tempt police to find a reason to pull me over. I got shit to do.

So many parts of the story had me shaking my head. Since the story is somewhat tied into having red lights on your hood, I thought TW members would enjoy the news story.
