Yes to the link. But you typed GPG, not GPS.

You have a '23 OR, why go backwards on headunit? Factory NAV sucks (in any marquee).

You are connecting via android auto or carplay, which is the way better solution.

Yes Android auto with the wire.
But doesn't the JBL unit have NAV GPS built in for free?

Have no clue, but I'd not install it if given to me and it would fit. And it takes more parts than just the headunit I believe

Again, factory NAV sucks. And updates are not as frequent as your phone, and they are not free.

You have the right stuff now.

I ran the K&N engine and cabin filters in the Tacoma for a few years, but eventually switched back to the oem paper versions. The cabin filter wasn't good enough with my allergies and the engine filter constantly dried out in the AZ weather.

in regards to actual air flow, that is a restriction, so less air flow.
Now, in some designs, this restriction, is used to increase velocity, but that’s at the expense of flow, and part of larger design.

I’m still not sure what you’re after here, as mentioned, this engine shares the same air filter with the much larger V8, so I doubt there is any restrictions, nor would an engineer deliberately design it with an undersized air box, just so someone could unlock HP down the road.
If you want more noise, cool get an aftermarket air system, I’m not down on it, but know that’s all it does.

Not sure how folk measure the “dirt passing the filter into the engine”. If the filter is dirty it is doing its job. I always did and will drive K&N filters, engine and cabin filters. Properly maintained (cleaned and oiled), K&N engine air intake filters work just as fine as OEM. Advantage: cheaper after only 2 intervals with OEM. Performance increase? No idea and I don’t care.

What did you read and where did you read it? Sounds like you got suckered in by the b.s. on K&N's web site. The OEM paper filters filter better and have higher flow than any of the K&N's. Don't believe the hype. Read this article and then maybe you'll understand: https://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html

Watch the Project Farm video. It's truly objective testing. If you don't care what particles go in your engine, but value the idea of having a reusable K&N / TRD type filter to save a few bucks waaaayyy down the road, and shave a few tenths of a second off a 0-60 time, do that. If you don't value engine longevity because you will sell, trade, or crash your truck before the engine fails, use that. Realistically, most of us will do one of those 3 things before we blow up a Toyota engine. If you value the opposite, a paper filter is best, specifically the Purolator. The Fram did pretty bad. If you really don't care about filtration and want performance, just don't use a filter. I'd rather have the peace of mind of a cleaner engine. To each their own...

OP, the intake flow accelerator piece you linked is the best bang for the buck out of the entire cold air intake kit. Many have bought just that piece. Some have bought the entire TRD CAI and used the paper filter instead of the oiled TRD version in the kit. Some have fabricated a piece to route the intake from the passenger fender to the front of the truck.

I can tell you from experience my Tacoma drove slightly better in hotter weather with the K&N, but acceleration and mpg improvements weren't really measurable. That said, nothing wrong with K&N imo. I still use them in other vehicles I drive less frequently.

The factory air intake lid has a pretty stout filter mesh under it. If any debris managed to get passed the K&N I doubt it would make it's way inside the engine. I ran the K&N for about 10k miles and my intake was still clean when I switched back to the factory paper filter. :crapstorm:

You can put whatever filter in there you want. I doubt you’ll notice any difference one way or the other. Unless you over-oil the K&N.

If over oiled, you'll likely foul the maf sensor enough times, that you'll get pissed off, and circular file that k&n.
