I have a KN, and honestly, it's a pain. I bought the truck with it already installed. Not a big fan of it. MechanicJon looks like his is set up really nice compared to mine. The part where the filter fits on is coned shaped for some stupid reason, so the clinch clamp, if tightened too tightly, fails its job. Also, when the previous owner put it in, he broke the windshield washer resevoir. in doing so. Not a big deal, as I can't relocate it it, but still. I would probably not have done it if I was him.

Side note, anyone know how to clean the MAF sensor if you do over oil the filter? Asking for a friend...

For cleaning the MAF just remove from the intake tube and hose it down with specific MAF cleaner. Usually 5 or 6 bucks or so at parts store or Walmart or whatever. You can look up pictures of the little itty-bitty wire inside that you're trying to clean. Let it dry(shouldn't take long) and then reinstall. Easy as that.

Also gains on the dyno don't apply to everyone. I know I never go over 3500 RPM so any max HP gains I could add to my truck I'll never see cause they are usually added to the high RPM band.
