K&N CAI failure on '13 Taco

    Every k and n ive seen comes pre oiled, you might have added more oil and fouled maf. And several people believe the k and n cai are not worth the money.

    Funny, I just installed this simple application and sure enough it failed on idle.


    I re-installed to OEM and no problem @ first crank. I even loosened up the mass air sensor and the OEM stayed idled...


    Not sure what to do from here but will try again tomorrow.


    I have the same Taco as the OP?? 2012 TRD Sport

    Thats really odd. Mine is the same part number as well and I didnt have any issues at all. Maybe some trucks MAF sensors just dont work well with it? Mine was 1 week old with 40 miles on it when I put mine on. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
