K & N CAI seems obnoxiously loud

    I just installed a K & N Cold Air intake on my 2019. I can't believe how loud it is. I thought I may take some Dyna-matt and install it on my hood to make sure I have a good seal. Does anyone feel the same about the sound? I don't mind a bit of throaty-ness, but my wife doesn't even like being in the truck now. Thought, ideas, advice would be great

    If it’s one of the shrouded open air filter, yes it is going to much louder than the one factory cold air intake air box.

    All of the aftermarket intakes, open and boxed systems are louder than OEM.
